We must obey
Jesus’ teachings to be saved. (Please read the following quotes of
Jesus to verify this statement.) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by
every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) And if any
man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge
the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my
words hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall
judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father
which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should
speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I
speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. (John 12:47-50) Now ye are
clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. If ye abide
in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be
done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so
shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you:
continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my
love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and
that your joy might be full. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy
might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment,
That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than
this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye
do whatsoever I command you. (John 15:7-14) For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:22-24) Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. (John 7:16-18) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)
Verily,
verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. (John 8:51) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:27-28) If ye love
me, keep my commandments. And I will
pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide
with you forever; Even the Spirit of
truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither
knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in
you. I will not leave you
comfortless: I will come to you. Yet
a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I
live, ye shall live also. At that day
ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth
them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my
Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:15-21)
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. (John 18:37)
